Adventures in PowerShell Alchemy: Turning Code into Solutions

About pXLabs

pXLabs is a blog and project hub created by Jeff Pollock, an IT professional with over 25 years of experience in enterprise systems management, automation, and endpoint engineering. This site is a place to share practical tools, insights, and lessons learned from the real world of modern IT, especially for those navigating the shift from traditional on-prem tools like MECM (SCCM) to modern, cloud-native platforms like Microsoft Intune.

  • 🔍 Deep technical dives and honest takes from someone who’s been there
  • 🧰 Ready-to-use scripts, tools, and ideas for IT admins, automation engineers, and infrastructure nerds
  • 💡 Guidance for cloud-first, real-world IT modernization, without the fluff

Who’s Behind This?

Hi, I’m Jeff Pollock. Over the past two decades, I’ve worked in IT roles ranging from sysadmin to automation architect, supporting enterprise environments with thousands of endpoints. I specialize in Microsoft technologies (Intune, MECM, Azure AD), PowerShell automation, and building tools that make IT teams faster, smarter, and a little less frustrated.

This site is a place where I publish tools I’ve built for my own work, stories from the field, and ideas that help admins thrive in today’s rapidly changing tech landscape.

Who Is This Site For?

  • IT administrators working with Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Autopilot, and Azure AD
  • PowerShell enthusiasts looking for practical, production-ready code
  • Modern workplace teams figuring out how to bridge the gap between legacy tools and cloud-first expectations
  • Anyone who’s ever thought: “There has to be a better way…”

Random Facts About Jeff

🎛️ When I’m not scripting or troubleshooting Intune deployments, I’m behind the decks spinning House music as DJ PhriendX—streaming globally with the Global Funk Fam on Twitch.

🎸 I play bass and have a deep love for jam bands like the Grateful Dead, Phish, and Umphrey’s McGee, along with a wide spectrum of other genres that fuel my creativity.

🚗 Summers are for taking out my 1977 Corvette, cruising to car shows, and talking shop with fellow gearheads.

🎨 Beyond IT, I’m deeply connected to the creative arts and music scene, whether it’s performing, producing, or just getting lost in sound.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Most importantly, I’m a family man—happily married with three grown children who keep me grounded, inspired, and occasionally challenged on what qualifies as “cool.”
